Amalgamated with Bomber Command to form Strike Command on 1 May 1968<\/p>\n Commissioned by Colin F Musson and dedicated to ACM, the Lord Dowding GCB, GCVO, CMG, AOCinC, Fighter Command throughout the Battle of Britain, July 10 – October 31 1940, and to his Air & Ground Crews and to those in support who, together, emerged victorious.
