Awarded:<\/strong> 1949<\/p>\n Blazon:<\/strong> On two Kris in saltire a Chinese Junk in full sail all proper.<\/p>\n Link<\/strong>: The junk, based on a model in Raffles hotel, represents the unit\u2019s location whilst the Kris, a traditional Malay weapon shows its fighting spirit.<\/p>\n DoI:<\/strong> The badge is a close copy of that granted to RAF HQ Far East in November 1937.<\/p>\n Motto:<\/strong> Eastward<\/p>\n History:<\/strong> Formed a South East Asia Air Command on 16 November 1943 and changed its title to Air Command South-East Asia on 14 January 1944, before becoming Air Command Far East on 3 September 1946.
