History: Opened as Brampton Grange on 15 July 1940 and transferred to the USAAF from 28 January 1943 to 11 October 1945. It became HQ Technical Training Command on 25 October 1945 and was renamed RAF Brampton on 23 November 1956. It was renamed Brampton Camp on 2 April 2012 and finally closed in December 2013.
