Blazon: A Roman Aqueduct proper
Link: The aqueduct is suggestive of the strong Roman associations of Kemble and its close proximity to Cirencester and Chedworth. It also suggests the proximity of the reported source of the River Thames
Motto: Latin: Sustinere – To sustain, support, maintain
History: Formed at Kemble on 22 June 1938. Became USAF Maintenance base on 1 April 1983 and closed in 1992.
Sponsored by Just Wood and dedicated to all who served with No 5 Maintenance Unit at RAF Station Kemble.
