Blazon: A Horse’s Head couped Sable crined Argent
Link: The unit wished to perpetuate its association with the County of Kent. The white horse of Kent is well known and a horse’s head was thought to be appropriate for this badge. The black horse with a white mane may be taken to indicate day and night activities.

History: Formed at Shawbury on 1 April 1918. Was re-numbered No 174 Squadron at Warmwell on 26 August 1945.
