Link: The unit was subscribed for by the British community in the Argentine. The gift is commemorated by a lion – symbolic of the British – and reference to the sun which appears on the ensign of the Argentine Republic.

History: Formed as a nucleus on 1 June 1918 but disbanded on 4 July 1918. Re-formed on 6 April 1942 at Peterhead and was re-numbered No 63 Squadron at Middle Wallop on 31 August 1946
