Blazon: In front of a winged Torch Or enflamed proper a Rose Gules seeded and barbed proper.

Link: The torch indicates learning in flying matters whilst the rose alludes to the location of the unit.

History: Formed Cranwell 10 September 1940  Disbanded Montrose 11 July 1945
