Blazon: In front of a Fountain two Keys in saltire the wards spelling BK upwards and outwards Or.

Link: The fountain indicates the unit’s close links with Coastal Command whilst the keys, from the Arms of the Fishmongers Company on whose land the station was built, also suggest the unlocking of knowledge needed to overcome difficulties.

Motto: Latin: Nos difficultates non terrent – Dificulties do not deter us.

History: Opened 1 June 1941 as a satellite to Limavady, named Ballykelly on 1 March 1951. Closed 30 June 1971, re-opening on the same day under Army control as Shackleton Barracks.
