Link: The Wake Knot is from the arms of Sir Hereward the Wake who defended the Isle of Ely from the Norman invaders and the motto is reputed to mean ‘The Guardian of the Army’.
History: Formed 13 May 1912 Farnborough.
Commissioned by Mr N I Laskey and dedicated to all members of the Squadron past and present and to all who served at RAF Station Sawbridgeworth.
